I stick by my Jewel brand 100% Whole Wheat. 22 carbs for 2 slices.

I can go whole wheat white , but regular wheat is too damn sweet

I still have a soft spot for white bread...had many cheese, mayo and Butternut sandwiches as a yute. But now I only buy for BLTs or Texas Toast for making French toast.

We get the Butternut Italian bread. The wheats aren't good for grilled cheese or French toast. Onion buns, bagels, or French rolls are what I prefer for sandwiches. Great harvest if there is one near you has an Oregon Herb that is great for turkey sandwiches.

TT is great for BLTs but I haven't seen it in a while.

Harold's still uses white bread for their sopping bread.

But other than that, I am 100% whole wheat. Like, the kind in those loaves that are a little more expensive and a little shorter than the regular loaves. Great for corned beef and pbj.

Last time I was arrested the 18th street lockup rationed TP by the square but had a folding table with pre-made white bread and bologna sandwiches (sans condiments), guard said those were unlimited.

Prison meats are soy. Keeps the riots down.

The only oysters that should be subject to frying are gulf oysters. Anything else is a crime.

the whiter the bread, the quicker you're dead

I don't get how they make white bread but fill it with fiber. It goes against nature. Millions of years of evolution of Poaceae and then just one day, probably in like 2012, someone finds a way to put fiber into bread as white as John Stockton and we all just accept it as normal?
