We're going to be traveling to Seattle in September. Has anyone been? Any restaurant recommendations?

Ivar’s Fish Bar is a cool place located on the water with great views of the Space Needle. Good fish and chips, grilled salmon and chowder. If you go, make sure it’s the one located on Northlake Way as there a few locations - the others don’t have the same atmosphere.

Go to that place where they throw fish that Fox shows after every commercial break during a Seahawks game.

I hear Dan Bernstein won't even visit the state of Washington because of that place.

Wasabi Sushi & Izakaya if you like sushi. Went there with Lipid a couple years ago and it was amazing. Best sushi I've had... ever.

I don't like Starbuck's coffee at all.

All the restaurants shut down after they added a $15 minimum wage. Bring packets of oatmeal and beef jerky.

I was at least expecting a gay bar recommendation from you. You're slipping.

Any place CB visits emits a rainbow vibe.

I thought restaurants in Seattle/Washington state in general paid staff more b/c of the restrictions on tipping thing? People still tip, but employers don't get credit for it toward the hourly rate or something.

All of the above. Washington state has no tip credit plus a high ($15.74) minimum wage. King County (Seattle)'s is even higher.

Seattle's minimum wage is $18.69/hour for most workers effective January 1, 2023, but can be $16.50/hour, depending on what company you work for and how you're paid.
