Coopers tavern for high quality

There's other places but those are fairly affordable without losing quality.

I'm not sure if this will rub Dolphin's Polish sensibilities the wrong way, but Paul's Pel'Meni, a Russian Dumpling House, also has pretty amazing food.

UW has a full german beer hall overlooking a lake in the basement of its student union. It's probably tough for an underaged student to get a drink but that seems heavenly for a parent
