It's a really tasty, hearty polish dish. Works well for breakfast or anytime. This is one of those things you learn to like from your father.

I picked up some recently in my old neighbor in Wood Dale at Helen's Deli on Irving Park. I'm happy the place still exists. The last time I was there was 40 years ago. Now they have a Polish Restaurant too next door. I used to live a few streets down from there. That was when the Wood Dale Library was on the corner of Irving Park and Edgebrook. Things have changed in the old country.

It's kind of a stuffed meat thing. Israeli soldiers carry it in case they're captured behind enemy lines. They eat it and it kills them.
