It was good.

I'd say 7 out of 10 on my IIPA scale.

Maybe 8.

I'm with you, it was good but not great. New Glarus makes a good beer and a solid lineup. I'd
Put Spotted Cow ahead of this one and their Moon Man is in the team pic as well. All very
Different beers obviously

Is Singlecut--brewed out of NYC--distributed in Chicago? Their beer is widely available in the Northeast, and they're doing some interesting things. I'd be curious to know what you guys make of their "Does Anyone Remember Laughter?" IPA, which seems to be a synthesis of the NE and West Coast IPA styles.

In any event, just about any beer by Singlecut is worth trying if you happen to spot it on the shelf.

I like Singlecut but I rarely buy them at this point because of their ridiculous pricing. Around me some of their IPAs are more expensive on draft than barrel-aged stouts. I understand places like Trillium and Tree are relatively expensive at the source but the fact that Singlecut frequently charges more than those two at the brewery itself and then distributes with those same prices at the MSRP (which means lots of stores charge even more, at times up to $7-10 a can) really rubs me the wrong way.

That said, Mo Shuggie' is one of the best Nelson IPAs I've had and really reminds me of good batches of NEBCO Coriolis and Alpine Nelson (before Green Flash ruined it of course).

I got so excited when I saw Alpine's Nelson on our shelves...and then I drank it. Sad. They butchered it.

And no, no Singlecut here.

Not my proudest moment but happened to be in Walgreens yesterday and saw they were selling these in a 4pk for $2.99. Haven't had
any since college days I'd guess. 75 cent tall boys and cheaper than bottled water! Anyway, it tasted pretty much like you would imagine
and had that familiar "bite" to it. I can't say I recommend it but if you are trying to put a buzz on while being fiscally responsible this
stuff will do the job.

After a hockey game someone pulled out store brand lite beer from either Sams club or Costco. I'm thinking sams. I passed on the offer.

Going to a tasting tomorrow. $30 to get in on the list below. Most of these will be on tap. Anyone want to prioritize the list for me? I have had some and obviously the bigger known non craft brands.

OVER 25 VARIETIES OF CRAFT BEERS!
Bells
Victory
Penn Brewery
Rusty Rail
Sweetwater
Sam Adams
Dogfish
Southern Tier
Great Lakes
Sierra Nevada
Magic Hat
Laguanitas
Iron City
and more to come!

Cool. I already had Southern Tier, Great Lakes, and Lagunitas but I can have more.

You can buy half that shit in your basic grocery store. What's so special about this "tasting"?

No kidding. I was waiting to read Bud & Miller on the list too.

It is not really special. It is just at the local casino and combined with other things going on. More like a fest than a "tasting". They will have a bunch of locally know food trucks, live music and such.

Bells, Dogfish, Sierra Nevada, Magic Hat and Lagunitas are your focal points.

Almost all of those are "big brands" though."

Sierra Nevada is really good. I'm a fan of their Torpedo beer and Hop Hunter. Enjoy

Last week I decided to mix in a torpedo while at the Pitt game already having been drinking. Yikes!

Depends. If it's the Magic Hat Oktoberfest it's pretty darn good.

I have never had a beer from Magic Hat that I needed to drink again. It's okay, but nothing special. Bell's and Dogfish Head are playing a different game compared to them.

I posted on Facebook and Twitter about this company but all you craft beer drinkers need to check out a Fizzics machine. I saw their segment on Shark Tank and was curious and I went out and bought one soon after. It honestly changes whole craft beer game for me as corny as that sounds. It just makes every single beer you will have better.

Laguintas Born Again Yesterday
Top 5 beer I've ever had. Found in at Jewel on an endcap. If you're a fan of Laguintas you'll love this beer.

On my path to physical excellence I've cut my beer intake to one six pack a weekend. Picked
Up a new IIPA I've never tried today from New Holland called Hoptronix. Plan on trying a few during the OSU vs PSU game

Just had the Stone Enjoy by 10.31.17. Not one of their better efforts.

I love Stone but there was nothing distinctive about that beer. I'm sure they have a Thanksgiving version coming out. I'd hold out.
