It is.

Most of their Hero beers are good. I'm a big fan of the Citra Hero and Juke Box Hero.

Those are my favorites of the hero beers. Galaxy and Mosaic while mostly okay don't compare. But I like black IPAs and Citra hops so the other two have a leg. Bottoms up, sun crusher and Little Crazy are all seasonal I enjoy.

I like Little Crazy on tap...not so much out of the can. I was not a fan of Sun Crusher...tasted odd to me.

Yeah, the Galaxy is not bad, I didn't care for the Mosaic. I'm still not sure about the Local Hero....I'm working my way through a six pack...don't really desire more than one at a time of that one.

I just bought a League of Heroes 12 pack.

3 each of Anti Hero, Amarillo Hero, Mosaic Hero, and Galaxy Hero.

Which is the best of the bunch?

I'm not a huge Anti Hero fan, but we're getting Citra Hero pretty regularly in MA.

I imagine that the Mosaic and Galaxy Hero are quite good.

I had a double dry hopped Galaxy IPA by Hill Farmstead not to long ago. It was out of this world.

In order, I would rank them:

1. Mosaic
2. Galaxy
3. Anti Hero
4. Amarillo

I follow the label on the can that requests you do not be a douche bag and recycle the can. I may be there this summer, though!

I can attest that douchebag hates recycling.

Yeah, that's good stuff. I was just ranking the four varieties that I bought.

I would like to move Galaxy up the #1 spot, after further review.

Bell's Mango Habanero Oberon is on tap at the Lake Bluff Heinen's.

5.8% abv

I thought it was fantastic! A perfect summer beer. I could easily drink it on the rocks. Really tasty with not too much fruit and finishes with some heat. I had one, pretty much pounded it and wanted another one. Could be dangerous.

No idea on their distribution footprint but visited a tasty brewery in Flagstaff called Historic Brewing.

Outstanding DIPA called Alternative Facts.

Flagstaff is a sneaky good brewery stop. For a town of 75K, they have around 8-10 breweries. Gonna have to return to do a proper tour of their spots.

Flagstaff is a cool town, I'll check out Historic Brewing when I head back there in the fall.

If you're looking for small towns with insane local beer scenes, it's difficult to top Burlington (VT) and Portland (ME). Both are great places.

Three pretty solid breweries in Griffith, IN and a barcade with great beer selection. Not bad for a sleepy little NWI town.

Griffith is more a hamlet or a hollow than an actual town.

There are 25-30 craft breweries in the Portland area. Population is around 65,000.

Have you guys ever had Smells Like Bean Spirit from Mikerphone Brewery in Elk Grove Village? A buddy of mine who lives in WI asked me if I would go there this morning to get 4 bottles of it. They opened at 11:00. I got there about 11:10 and waited in line for about 45 minutes.

Afterward I stopped at Binny's and got a 6 pack of Hop Skip from Brickstone Brewery (I like their Galaxy Down Under so I hope I like this, too) and a 4 pack of Prairie Artisan Ale's Phantasmagoria. Anyway, a guy at the register behind me thought he was being overcharged. When the cashier explained the items rang up with the correct price and the rest were taxes he didn't believe her, then said the taxes were too high, and stormed off. She had to call a manager over to cancel the sale before she could help the next person.

You waited for beer? Prepare to get flamed.

Mikerphone is good stuff.

Picked up a couple I haven't tried last night. I was looking for some east coast stuff Midget raves about but 90% is from the Midwest. Awesome selection if you are ever near Kenosha try Tenutas. Anyway I got a sixer of Sierra Nevada Hoptimum Triple IPA which was better than average. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but it was good. I also picked up a four pack of Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA which I've heard good things about but never tried. I'll give that a taste probably Sunday.

Just had the Mango Guppy by Pipeworks. Great taste, but on the light side in terms of abv. Also had the Sex and Candy by 18th St Brewery. That was really good.

We were at Green Flash outside of San Diego this week. Everything we tried was outstanding. They had an experimental Weiss made in a champagne style, almost shandyish, that was dangerously easy to drink.

Going back to Denver this summer and plan on stopping at Ursula in Aurora, and then Wynkoop brew-pub before taking in a game at Coors. Might need to stop by The Great Divide again as well...any suggestions from there?
