No.

Shared experience. Sampled them. Just finished the Popper without half the bun out of the fridge.

My go to place Anton's Fruit Ranch just closed their doors for good. I'm screwed, I go there 4-5x per week for lunch. Amazing chicken chili.

Covid claims another business. They were never the same after the shut down and people working from home. Over the last year i would go in there and sometimes i would be the only customer in the food area. Before Covid there would be 20 people in there at that same time.

Had to grab lunch quickly and my choices were limited so I went to BK across the street. I tried the new Spicy Whopper Melt and while it had some spice to it, the sandwich was a disappointment.
Burger patties were small and the bun is not toasted like it appears in the ad and on the board at the restaurant. Thought it would be a bit bigger than what I would equate to a McDonalds double cheeseburger. Not going to fall for that one again at $5 for just the sandwich.

New place opened in Sycamore called Cesaroni's Cafe & Deli. I guess they have one in Woodstock too. It was pretty damn good.

I always forget you're local to me. Want to try that place out. What did you have?

I've been doing the jalapeno mango chicken at Eggspress down the road from there. Quick breakfast to go service.

The #2 I think. Tukey, bacon, cheese, LTO. Comes with chips and pickle spear for $10. I liked the baguette it came on. Nice and crusty which I like compared to that soft Subway style bread. I'll definitely go back.

I think it's probably just Aker. The Cubs had a pitcher named Jack Aker for a couple seasons in the 70s.

Quote:
From pitching in the same game as 59-year-old Satchel Paige in 1965, to standing on the mound at Yankee Stadium while men landed on the moon in 1969, to standing in the Braves bullpen a few feet away from where Hank Aaron's 715th home run ball landed in 1974 – Aker saw, and was part of, a lot of history.

Taiwanese food in suburban Seattle. Shrimp & pork dumplings, and noodles in spicy sauce.

I like the pork fried noodle at Katy's better, but this style was very good as well.

Ok just landed in Philly. At the Reading Market going to Carmen’s for a cheesesteak. Think I am doing the Whiz. But do I add lettuce and tomato? I will also have onions and peppers.

The line is 50 deep.

BTW, flew out of Milwaukee. Nice little airport. Wish they had more direct flights.

They have direct flights to every major city, what more do you want?

No way. I didn’t see anything of note to Vegas or Austin. I’ll check again. I got direct to Philly.

Vegas for sure, not sure on Austin. Is Austin a major city, I guess I never thought of it that way.

I couldn’t find many options to Vegas. I will try again for November but already out if MSP for June. Milwaukee is a bit closer and a lot easier to get through.

Too late! I am with ya but I went with it.

On a side note, the clerk asked where I was from. He went to some Harley event in Wisconsin, and commented how nice Midwesterners are. To that I say Hell yeah.

I went whole cheesesteak, cheese whiz, pickled peppers (hot n sweet), lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo. I did not bring my Hoka’s…

If you can get the direct flights, yes....MKE is really really nice.

Harley Events in Milwaukee are usually Labor Day weekend. That's always the "milwaukee rally" weekend and every 5 years, they have a bigger rally commemorating the company anniversary. Yeah....I still have my bike, but since I no longer work for them...fuck 'em  The 115th H-D Anniversary rally was a complete joke.

Gross. Who would ever eat a cheesesteak dressed up like that?

The steak, cheese and onion flavors so dominate that you get none of the other flavors and it comes out so hot that l/t becoming disgusting.

I'm often a tuna guy for lunch, but lately have been eating liver sausage on french bread with butter.

For a simple sandwich, it's very tasty and filling. I could eat it every day along with salmon lox with cream cheese on a baguette or bagel.

Not all liver sausage is the same. It's best to get a German brand or one from a Polish deli.

Lettuce and Tomato are delicious on a chicken sammich.

I agree with lettuce, but tomato on a hot sandwich - nope. I'll take the tomato on the side and eat it with some s/p.
