Subway, footlong Tuna on Italian herb and cheese. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, banana peppers, lots of mayo.

I like to let my pbj's ripen at room temperature for awhile so that the tactile contrast with the tall glass of milk that is my favored accompaniment will be especially pleasing. Importantly, I almost never eat pbj's with anything but the freshest Butternut or Wonder white bread. My pbj enjoyment factor drops precipitously as the sandwich bread used to encase it diverges from peak freshness.

Tomorrow's Ugie's Friday Boredom Thread posted by someone not named Ugie should be "Tall Midget gives in depth analysis to the most basic mundane activities".

I love the depths that you go in analysis on something as simple as eating a PBJ sandwich.

I had a "Sebastopol" sandwich from Bennison's bakery in Evanston today. Bennison's, incidentally, comes highly recommended. Their breads are outstanding as are many of their pastries, especially their Boston Cream donuts, brownies, eclairs, napoleons, and Danishes.

In any event, the Sebastopol consists of high-quality Black Forest Ham, Havarti cheese (I think), cornichons, and a creamy mustard placed between two halves of the crusty house-baked baguette. This is a terrific sandwich that is great for a quick lunch. Seeing some freshly prepared Boston Cream donuts on the bakery shelf as I was ordering my sandwich, I couldn't resist, and had one of those, too. God I'm getting fat.

Aldi's toasted Oatwheat bread, Cotto salami, ham, swiss, lettuce, onion, pickle with Philippes Original Hot Mustard.

If you have not had Philippes mustard you are missing out on a real treat. Philippes is really good on a thicker cut of italian beef with some sauteed onions. Some may think it's a little overpowering for an average sandwich, especially you mayo lovers.

Always a favorite option at my office too

Wound up with tacos from the mall because I didn't feel like dealing with the Portillos drive thru

Taco Fresco at Woodfield isn't bad, and their salsa is quite tasty

I also went for the Jimmy John's tuna sub, but no hot peppers for me thanks. Had the jalepeno chips though, love those.

The Triple is the only way to go otherwise it's just to much bread for a single/double
