Somehow I've missed all the hype leading up to the imminent opening of Mario Batali's 63,000 square foot Italian food mall in the former ESPN Zone on Ohio St.

Eight restaurants, a pizza bar, bakery, grocery, etc. It will be 20% bigger than the one in NYC, which ranks surprisingly as the 3rd biggest tourist attraction in NYC (behind Museum of Modern Art and the Empire State Bldg.)

I like Batali, but he may be biting off more than he can chew.

Spent the past weekend directly across the street from this thing. Had no idea what it was, never stopped in to check it out.

It is massive from the outside.
