With the love I gave Big and Littles due to the fact they make their food, had to go over to TOONs tonight and see my guy danny, wings, pulled pork, chile, all excellent. Everything actually cooked in house, made right there. Just a quality place. They are getting harder and harder to find!

Dude. Dude!
I've been singing the praises of this place around here for years, and usually you just give me a "yeah it's pretty good".
Toons is the absolute goods for a neighborhood bar place. Good beer selection. GREAT wings. And.....the secret that hasn't really been a secret for many years now:

Their crawfish boils are one of the hi-lights of year in Chicago year after year. Anybody want to go this year - let me know. I'm in.

Danny knows what he's doing. He knows how to smoke meat and put out some great bar food even though his kitchen is tiny.
Only down side is: Danny is a HUGE Kansas Jayhawks fan and KC Chiefs fan.
Gag.

I was one of the first ten customers ever to frequent Toons.

Good to see you on the bandwagon 25 years later BF.

Are they on GrubHub?

You say "the Goods", I say "pretty good"

Danny and I have been friends for 10+ years. He used to have season tix next to me at Wrigley. We have go deep into the BBQ joint discussion before even Smoque opened up.

never dissed my guy in anyway. the wings are solid, while many others who serve wings have declined, they have stayed good.

Danny is one of the really good guys in a business filled with slime and idiots.

They just held one this past Saturday. I've always wanted to go to a boil after seeing a picture with Brett Favre in my of my favorite joints Sobelman's in Milwaukee. Couldn't go as I was entertaining some out of town guests.

I'm 100% going to the next one.

I've heard this bar has really good food, but never had the chance to try it or more likely, just keep forgetting about it. One of these days I'll make it over there for dinner.

No way it was Geraci. If I had to guess I'm going with Bill Pintas.

His ads are almost too much, like the intent is to Go Viral as wacky low-budget local ads. And like you said, they're not even local; he's only licensed to practice in Nevada.

Moo & Oink, now that's a classic bad ad.

no way.... glen lerner is from florida, like the best things in life.... such as "crippy" weed.

seriously, idk if CH rolls in those circles but he's eluded to being down in florida recently so you never know if he can vouch for me on that.... but the first time you hear someone seriously use the term in a context like "oh y'all up here [in chicago] fucked up with all that crippy shit [and that's why we're not helping you sell the pound of dirt weed you brought up here in the apartment making us very uncomfortable]" you just kind of look at them like..... hmmm. so you live in a land where if a 15 foot snake crawls up on your front porch it's just tuesday, huh?

Yeah, South Florida is a land favorable to flora and fauna alike. Things just live everywhere. Anoles, those little lizard things, are in every bush. Snakes are everywhere, but I think the feral pythons are mostly just out in the Glades. One morning I was out running and passed a peacock just walking down the sidewalk. Gave him the ol' subtle nod of acknowledgement like you'd give any other jogger and kept going. It really is a delightful place.

Never did find an alligator, though, and man did I look.

Wasnt bad when I did it because it was 75 degrees, we sat in the back and drank beer all day. March 22 might have you sitting in the 40 degree sun CHILLING
