They used to have a very nice lunch counter. You could get a prime rib sandwich with all the sides salads and garnishments that you want for around $10. You could then eat in the luxury of that old Mc Cormick mansion. It was a great, kind of hidden deal. Now they changed it to some trendy key bar situation with waiter service at about double the price. Forget that. If I am going to spend $20 I might as well go all in and go for dinner. I know they lost a lot of government employee business with this change.

Had a great dinner there about 25 years ago. Reviews over the past decade have been pretty bad, which has kept me away.

I used to love it back in the day. Big, manly piece of prime rib, "Lawry's Spinning Salad!" and a baked potato the size of a football.

I did not even know they were still in business.

No, not really.

In a pinch, I'll season some meat with it but I usually have my own stuff for that.

Wow...mind blown...I use it on almost everything that hits the grill...

...but then again, I'm sure your mix kicks ass, so I can understand.

The only cottage cheese Nas is into is on a woman's thighs.

I did some side work once for Lawry's. They paid me and then tipped me 2 dinners, steak and lobster tail. Took the wife there.
Anyway they have a ballroom there that I was pulling wire thru. There were no tables set up there so I asked didn't they use the room for dinner seating? Nope. Why? Because they've gotten... complaints. Pressing further the guy told me that guests have seen ghosts there. People would feel someone grabbing their ankle under the table and look and no one was there. There apparently was a late night waiter there that saw someone sitting at a table after hours, smoking a cigar. Walking up to him he told him to extinguish the cigar and he had to leave, and the man laughed at him, the waiter started walking out to get the manager and turned around before he left the room and the guy was gone. There was only 2 exits to the room and he would have had to have sneaked past him to get out of either of them. So they simply didn't use the room anymore.
There was a creepy vibe while I was working up there... even before I was told the story. I didn't see anything unusual.

I did take my wife for dinner there. Had prime rib and lobster tail on the house. Excellent martinis. Asked the waitress if she'd ever had unusual experiences there and she said that most of the staff there had. She refused to elaborate.

Google up stories of the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. Some major league teams wont even stay there due to ghosts

Maybe the Cubs could ask one of those ghosts to come down here and get rid of that goat curse.
