anyone try these ?

grabbed a 4 pack of the aged cheddar variety....not cheap by any means, i paid 7$ and that was with a coupon....

they were pretty damn tasty though
pretty much the texture of a bratwurst, with a pretty strong bacon flavor
as you might expect, very high flare ups on the grill, pretty much have to babysit them the entire time so they don't burn to a crisp

i liked them but not sure i'd buy them all that often at that price point

That looks awesome, Bagels. Where'd you get them?

I would think you could get the smokey flavor of bacon by bypassing putting it in a sausage and just having a smoky link of some variety

Crap. No Peapod in hooterville.

I emailed the BigFork people and asked if they could ship a variety pack. We'll see.

the only concern i had was how it would cook up, as in would the pieces of bacon be properly rendered out, and it was fine , actually gave it a bit of a textural difference too

I have tried these bacon sausages and although they were tasty they were really really greasy.

I have been eating a lot of these chicken brats lately and they are really tasty and only about 120 calories per sausage.

they actually weren't all that greasy, although the cheddar ones i got had the cheese inside, so of course that made it a bit messy

never liked chicken sausages, although I do like the Jennie-O hot italian sausage, those are pretty tasty for a "lean" sausage

I love the cheddar brats from The Brat Stop but they due tend to split before they are finished

I'm starting to have my doubts about GD having gone to St Inigo. This is like 2nd grade science stuff.

i tried the maple & Brown sugar variety....pretty damn tasty
i'm not generally a fan on the sweet/spicy combo on sausage like that (like i hate McGriddles) but these were not overly sweet or overpowering and didn't taste fake
probably would stick with the cheddar though

the only negative thing about these is that they're short, so it only fills like 3/4 of the bun
