I'm looking to get a large order of lamb this weekend and it seems like the swarthy owners of the Greek restaurants of this city are predictably trying to rape on the price.

Does anyone have a recommendation where I can get a couple of pans of sliced lamb without it being given to me ancient Greek style on the price?

are you looking for like raw meat or something prepared? For raw I would guess Olympia Meats. Joseph's Finest has great American lamb which is better than the imported scrawny stuff IMO.

Joseph's son is a friend and I didn't think of them. That may be the call.

I'd rather have prepared but as long as it is sliced, I can season and throw a pan in the over for a few hours without a problem.

I always wanted to do a whole lamb on a rotisserie in the yard. Not real practical since my family is small and I have no friends.

Are your kids getting less picky in their eating habits?

No. But they would probably eat some overcooked lamb bits covered in catsup.

I would consider doing that at a nearby park, but not at my house.

Halsted Meat?

It's on Halsted just north of the Pickens and Kane location, just south of Grand on the east side of the street.

I've made my peace with the loss. It's more the not to be within 250 feet of a grade school thing

When you talk about Greek butchers, the Ottoman Empire has to top the list.
