So Im going to get my second cup of coffee (and yes, he was in there making Ice when I got my first cup earlier) and I turn the corner and see Goggles slip, his knee goes down, then he half catches himself, lets out a WHOOAAA and then continued the fall on to the ground. Coffee flying, Goggles laid out, IT guy is freaking and it was all I could do to not yell DOWN GOES FRASIER

He's fine, maybe a bruise on his knee. There was a wet spot on the floor (89% chance it was from himself)

Get well, Goggs

I was running on Monday morning when I tripped on a crack in the pavement. I did one of those protracted trip-and-falls, where I swear I took about five steps thinking "I'm falling, I'm falling, I'm falling" and trying to do something to avert it even though I knew I was probably gonna eat shit. But I didn't, and I don't know how I did this, but I pulled myself up in such a way that I must have levitated for a second before I slid in the grass on my shins for about eight feet. It looked really silly, and it kind of hurt, but when you think of all the ways it could have gone worse for me, I guess it was okay. I just don't know how I put it all together to come out of it sliding on my shins rather than falling on my face and destroying my knees. What the mind and body can do when you're about to hit the ground hard is kind of magical. I think I bent time and space like LeBron James.

It's a bittersweet feeling. You're happy you didnt fall but feel like a moron.

Unless you're drunk.

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. I guess it's a good thing that the whole horrid event was witnesses by the office chatterbox and the easily-influenced-by-homemade-salmon-cakes IT guy. If only there were a place where bored, opportunistic lawyers congregate all day...

Bring it, Lunchables. You'll never recapture the hearts of this message board, or wherever it is we work. Arrow pointing down.

That's eerie because I might buy lunchables for the first time in like two years today (three hour car ride with two 8 year old girls)

hey how do you think those euro "socceroos" celebrate a goal in the rain?

one time while playing basketball i went "all in" 2011 white sox on a hard drive that resulted in a last second going left with a reverse under and around the hoop. not only did i brick the layup hard enough to create a "BWONG!!!!" sound loud enough to act like church bells for the brotherhood of missed layups but my momentum was such that i transitioned the stumbling of the failed layup into a double backroll which fortunately deposited me on my feet right behind the 3 point line. the bricked layup ended up bouncing to me waist high like it was coming in for a free throw, so in one motion from sticking the double backroll i calmly grabbed the ball on my way up and nailed an in rhythm wide open three pointer.

it wasn't quite the nba finals, but i still had my mj *shrugs* moment.

I normally don't register my pleasure with gifs, but that one's just tickling me.
