I drive by one everyday and I think I have had their pizza once about 7 years ago. It was nothing
special and I thought it was way over priced for what you got.

It was FLY ME TO THE MOON, because a Sinatra Like Piano Bar was a great idea in Wrigleyville, then they became ROOKIES and they took down the Sinatra Pictures and put up about 5 pictures of CUB players and became a sports bar!!!!!!!!!

Tons of space available in Wrigleyville, very expensive

Far more than I have ever seen in my life.

Someone should open a country bar. That segment seems underserved.

I really thought Twisted Spoke would have done well there but it only lasted a couple of years.

I have a Toppers on Rand. I've never tried it. Maybe I will soon.

Anyone have a review?

I think they're based out of Madison. I had it once or twice and don't remember a thing about it. Sometimes pizza is just pizza. Good luck in Chicago.

They opened one on Halstead near Madison a few years back. When they first open, they have all kinds of promotions/coupons. Maybe they always do. dunno. Aurelio's on Harrison and Giordano's on Van Buren made Toppers a family visiting with kids proposition only.

Madison's one of the few towns that has Gumby's pizza still. Gumby's be delicious. I think the guy who started Toppers did so down at Univ of Illinois. But probably located the corporate offices in Wisco cuz Illinois sucks for businesses.

Haven't had Gumby's. You ever had Rocky Rococo? It's like Jet's or Hungry Howie's, only awful.

That is like Chucky Cheese. Out here we have a all you can eat crap pizza called CiCi's. Never went but if that is in Chicago the world should end.

I hated Rocky Rococo, no idea how people liked that pizza. Gumbys is legit, but I like the TopperStix a lot better than pokey stix.

Rocky Rococo is strange pizza for sure. But it was cheap by the slice so I had it a lot in HS. I remember their breadsticks being good though.
They also didn't seem to mind of kids drank in the parking lot on the weekend, according to some.

Toppers Pizza looks like they stole the papa johns pizza pans.

This invasion of shit chain pizza really furthering my call on the Millenials moving in by the truckloads. These kids dont know shit about pizza. How a Dominos even still exosts in this town is amazing. Now these places to add to Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, Papa Romeos, Even Blaze is fast food....

The little guy getting squeezed out further. Grow or die.

Yeah, it's stunning. Maybe Lou Malnati's doesn't have enough presence on social media. We'll have to get #buttercrust trending.

Papa John's sprung up overnight all over the city; and in unlikely spots like Damen south of Augusta and on California near the Boiler Room and Township.

I still get a Papa John's pizza occasionally. Sometimes you don't want to spend $28 plus delivery and tip on an 18" pizza with 2 ingredients.

I don't prefer it, but it serves a purpose.

...so you pay $18 + tip for a bad pizza?

papa johns is so bad
the only purpose it serves for me is that i live in the (gasp) burbs where everything closes at like 8pm, so papa johns is the only thing open until 11/12 on the weekends and if you're desperate enough...
one thing you can do to improve it slightly is get it on thin crust....the regular crust has an insane bread:topping ratio like most cheap pizza but at least with the thin crust you minimize that
