Had my wedding rehearsal party there...loved the place.

This sucks and the irony of it closing as an Olive Garden opens across the street should not be lost on anyone.

Great bar and cool, atmospheric dining rooms. Best Goulash soup I have ever had and I've had it everywhere. It could survive under a group with a little more vision. It should be the destination point for Cubs fans taking the El 81 times per year. It should have an Oktoberfest with its outdoor patio and mall parking lot across the street.

I imagine they got offered a boatload of cash for the property and counting interest is a lot more fun than standing over a stove 10 hours per day.

Pour a little out for Zum Deutschen Eck, The Golden Ox and now Mirabell. Hopefully Laschett's isn't going anywhere

Who is buying that place for big money? Now, if you could do a drive thru, thats big money...and yes the Olive Garden being BUILT frm the ground up, across the street is its own sad view of the world.

Live 3 blocks away and drive by it at least twice per day yet I've never been. Same goes for the Olive Garden.

This is the truth. I drive by the on on McLean in Elgin, and the place is packed. I actually don't think it's just Hispanics. It is more a socioeconomic thing judging by the variety of races in the location overlayed with rusted out cars in the parking lot.
