Seem like in my dotage, my system doesn't like vegetables: any salad, cabbage, cole slaw, artichokes(!), maybe others...WTF? I can't even get a decent night sleep if I eat any of this stuff. KRAUT is a killer.

Happens to me as well. Maybe you do not get enough fiber, and this is over drive for your system? What kind of diet do you consume?

I dunno, it seems fairly typical. eggs/toast for breakfast, fruit/nuts/yogurt for lunch. wife makes a nice dinner which I am obligated to eat...pasta, fish, chicken, whatever. but a salad on the side? I'm doubled over in pain all night.
