In the end it depends on what your idea of high end is too I suppose. If I want a mixed drink I make it with what I have. I don’t have cheap tequila at moment so I guess if I want a Paloma I’d have to go with a decent tequila instead of swill.

No bueno.

I don't consider Makers high end and I'll generally dilute my liquor if I'm not trying to get fucked up quick. Moderation is not my forte.

I don’t drink a lot of tequila anymore but have some Roca Patron that I was given as a gift. one bottle of Anejo and one Reposoda. Hard to use in mixed drinks. Won’t say it’s never happened if a guest asks or I have a hankering. It’s not super high end but it’s not Cuervo.

Patron is the one some friends sneer at.

But Cuervo and Sauza work for Palomas if I'm just chilling.

Yeah..I don’t know crap about tequila. It was a get drunk quick drink as a youth so I moved away from it during my 20’s and 30’s and when I started drinking cocktails and then straight it was whiskeys that caught my fancy. And I’ve had some high end that I hope to never drink again.
