Like many of my concepts, this was crapped on early and often by many. But also like many of my concepts, this one has stood the test of time.

Thank you KS and Peeps for keeping the dream alive (even though I stopped reading around page 81).

By the power vested in me by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and viewers like you, the Poster of the Day for February 8th is....

MYDADPULLEDOUT

This poster was taken from us far too soon, but in his short time here he made it clear that he played for all the Cookies. He took shots from pretty much everyone and didn't once complain. In fact he seemed to like it. Congratulations MyDadPulledOut. You will be missed.

what's the over/under on me winning one of these?

i do a great job of being on the periphery JUST ENOUGH to avoid being lumped in with all of the regulars, save the occasional "board member who's most likely to kill someone" pole. i won't get nominated for any year-end awards, i won't get called out and grouped in some of the circlejerky drama, but i'm established enough to be pretty well known via my tl;dr caricature.

mr. outsider, it's all about being a fighter.... hmmm speaking of!

McCracken robbed again. He one punch KO'd 312 player in that Kennedy thread. Hilarious and brilliant at the same time.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Read through some of Joe's work today - good stuff. Carry on.

The guy started two threads that took off like Wildfire. PingPong Balls was hysterical and DickPics was a response to Don Tiny using a nasty penis picture in the PingPong Balls thread. Funny Stuff.

JORR showed decisively that there were no gang signs in that young whippersnapper's sticker. All the rest is just racist misdirection.

If the picture depicted white folks wearing cone shaped white hats, would that have been a problem?

I don't understand your side of this. If there's a chance that the design can be misinterpreted, why bother going with it? The kid, irregardless of his "checkered" life, is getting his $1000 reward.

Author:  Terry's Peeps [ Sat Feb 11, 2012 10:52 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Poster of the Day (Rolling, Rolling, Rolling Thread)

My side is that a big deal was made out of this because a bunch of assholes decided after the fact that there were "gang symbols" in the sticker.

It was approved by a committee that included 10 police officers who saw no symbolism.

And since then a kid has had his life dissected and criticized because he dared to submit an entry to a contest.

It's bullshit.

I should also add that I don't see why the kid just couldn't re-draw the hands without the fingers crossed and everyone moves on....
