Interestingly enough, I just looked up the state by state ages of consent. In 29 states it's actually 16, in nine, including Illinois, it's 17, and in the remaining twelve, it's 18.

In many Mexican provinces the age of consent is 12, which I find strange since many of my Mexican immigrant friends enjoy a joke that features the punchline, "No hay virgenes in Los Estados Unidos".

The fact that you would automatically think that the women someone might cheat with might be young enough to be minors says all anyone needs to know about you. If you want to be critical of my infidelity, I can't argue with that. But my affairs were with mature women, not girls. All of them were at least in their mid 20's, most in their 30's.
