I'm still waiting for the perfect sports movie. Bull Durham is closest.

I love Major League. Caddy Shack is solid too.

Too many non-athletes in Major League.

Wesley Snipes looks like a guy who never played a ball sport in his life.

I don't remember Sandlot, but Rocky was perfect.

Rocky and Hoosiers are both perfect IMO.

I do like Friday Night Lights too, but not in that same level as the other two.

You might be right about Rocky. I haven't watched it though in a couple decades.

Rocky is quietly very boring, like many movies from the 70s.

Hoosiers is great. Friday Night Lights was a good call. Tin Cup is the best Costner sports movie. Warrior is the most emotionally manipulative sports movie.

It's not the type of movie that would get a favorable reception around here, but "Battle of the Sexes" was well done.

Correct. Nobody talks about it, but everybody knows it to be true.

If I were still a Wiseman, I would permanently ban you for this. The Tarver Rocky and V are the only ones it's acceptable to have negative thoughts about.

All he ever did was yell "defense" and "move the ball".

It was Shooter's 'picket fence'. All Hackett did was measure the rim.

Don’t forget he wanted to use Jimmy as a decoy on that final play against South Bend.

“Kick me out” led to “picket fence” led to unlocking the boys led to measuring the court…guy was a visionary.
