Yeah it sucks. She is already beyond her expected life. I had a chance at this litter from a coworker’s friend, so I figured it was time. We will be able to train the puppy at the lake house where we do not need to leash her every time she goes out.

I went to one of those rescue places about 15 years ago to adopt a rabbit. I have owned rabbits all my life. I filled out their form. They interviewed us. The place wouldn’t give me a rabbit because I didn’t have a big enough pen for it to run around. On the way home I stopped at a pet store and got one for $19.99.

I'm impressed by him having rabbits and dogs living in the same house without the rabbits having a heart attack.

We don't have a dog so rabbits roam around our yard with no worries at all. Well last week my brother visited and brought his dog (some kind of german shepherd-esq mutt). He asked me if we had rabbits and squirrels, to which I replied yes. He still let his dog out where it immediately went off like a shot after a rabbit. The rabbit ran underneath a wooden fence with the dog in hot pursuit. I guess the dog didn't see the fence because she crashed in to it full speed.

The dog was staggering around the yard after that so we got out the blue tent. I think she is still in the protocol.

Did you take the rabbit on the plane as emotional support?

My mental health is top notch. No need for any emotional support animals. I did go crazy on bloody mary’s on the way down.

How do you measure your mental health? Against lifelong Wisconsinites?

We had a rabbit and an Alaskan Malamute many years ago. The rabbit used to hump the dogs head.

Then I highly recommend the Dutch rabbits. They are sweet and docile.

I caught a jack rabbit as a kid and kept it. My youngest daughter had an expensive rabbit that died. I forget what type of rabbit it was, but it was big and fluffy.

I have snakes and a dog. I will probably get another dog soon, but I think I'm gonna stick with the snakes and dogs. I'll only have one child at home in a year. I don't want to add any significant challenges to my plate.
