I’d winterized my patio a few weeks ago but realized after the fact that I’d left something I need in one of the storage bins. So I had to pull the tarp off, undo everything, etc.

I keep my set of bags/boards in the bin I needed to open. When I opened the lid, I saw that all the bags had been eaten through and there was corn everywhere. Apparently some mice got into the bin and past the tarps inside the bin to get to the bags. So I had to spend an extremely cold afternoon cleaning out the whole bin, cleaning mouse shit off a bunch of summer outdoor things, etc.

To make it worse, when I pulled one of the kids summer toys out of the bin, a couple mice dropped down and ran off toward another bin. I expect I’ll either find some dead mice in the spring or find they’ll have eaten a few cushions.

Stepdaughter pulling her usual shenanigans during the holidays. My wife has been on her and her ex-husband to make flight plans to get her home since Thanksgiving. Last I was told, she and her dad couldn't work together to get anything done and she likely wasn't coming. Got a call at 6am from my wife and she tells me now her daughter is coming and looking to fly in tomorrow and leave on New Years Eve. Good luck getting in tomorrow, even if she does it will likely be delayed and ultra inconvenient to try to drive down to get her. Always acts like the entire world revolves around her and things always come together at the very last minute.
