They offer three car garages, which we politely declined. As I suspected, just about everyone with a three car garage uses it for "junk" storage.

Any builder will build a three car garage for you.

I would like a three car garage.

For Darkside:

I’m building you a pyramid

With limestone blocks so large

I dragged them from the mountain top

You’ll need a two car garage

Very nice.

Upgrade to the 5 car garage.

I could get one of these:

Yeah, but it will probably fall apart due to the cheap materials and duct tape used to support walls...

In all honesty, my biggest complaint is the shutters and the way they attach to the masonry. They use these cheap plastic "screws" and put them into metal holders attached to the brick. They didn't seal around the shutters, so the wind and other elements eventually whittle away the plastic holders. For the lower shutters, it's pretty easy to reattach them properly. But for the second level shutters, you need scaffolding to safely get the broken plastic pieces out of the shutters.

Everything else in the house held up so much better than anything I owned before. The thing I am most impressed with is the drainage after rain fall. There is no flooding or stagnant water anywhere in the neighborhood because of the way they engineered the land.

Oh well, they probably suck, and I am just too dumb to know it.

I did a tandem sky dive today in Rochelle. It was my first and probably last time, but I had it on my bucket list. 14,000 feet.....ugh.

Now October fest in Munich and gambling in Macao....those I am trying to do next!

Got my 2004 Buick Le Sabre back on the road today. Has sat in my garage for two years because I always have my work van. Battery developed a dead cell from not being started and when I fired her up the fuckin GM coolant plastic elbow blew. Fixed it took her out on the road 203098 miles and she ran like she never sat at all. Need her because I may need her more if my job does not improve soon.

If you guys are playing in any 16U tourneys let me know. We are playing in them every weekend now. My son is playing up in 16U to rejoin his former 13U mates that he was split from once high school started.

He's playing 14U and JV hoops for high school team. Can't wait to drive to Loyola from the western burbs next week.

I can't coach every age level.

At that age group Edgebrook has lost most of its talent to the professional travel teams (and high school coaches' travel teams) and is begging for travel players from the park league. The team is pretty well decimated after 12U (they travel to Cooperstown at 12 which keeps some participating). I never participated in Edgebrook travel at that age group but as I recall, it is unusual for them to field a 14U team. Congratulations on doing your part against those kids who remained behind.

I thought you were one year behind us from a prior conversation. We'd be 15U but our club just couldn't assemble a competitive team. That year in between 13U and 14U sucks where the 8th graders from the 13U team move onto high school, and the 7th graders are left behind to play 14U. Our team was split evenly with the two. We decided to just play up once we hit high school.

Good luck with all that.

That's what Steve said.

Little Crest only lasted 1 2/3 though.

I'm closing in on 1200 miles for the year on my bike. If the weather in November and December cooperates I don't think 3000 miles is an unrealistic goal. This morning three goofs in full spandex on $2000 bikes turned in front of me. I figured I'd see how long I could ride with them. They didn't seem real happy to have me join their peloton. I stayed with them for about two miles before they turned off. It had to look real funny coming down the lakefront with these three who looked like they were competing in a European road race and me wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and a baseball cap on a twenty year old mountain bike getting ready to pass them.

I just started bike riding. It's been a couple weeks, it kicks my ass so bad though. I just got a cheap 7 speed bike. I feel strange though on our bike trail, there are guys decked out like the Tour de France and I'm in gym shorts and a cutoff t-shirt

I'm certainly not close to passing any of these guys yet. If I can do 6 miles without dying, I feel like I accomplished something.

I have one of those 1990s mountain bikes with the fat tires. I love being able to pound curbs, run over glass, whatever. I'd be changing tires every 5 minutes on one of those Lance Armstrong type bikes.

My neighbor is about to be featured in one of those prescription drug commercials with the overly detailed 20 second disclaimers.

She owns it though.

That is a good change I assume. Maybe you miss out on some sort of premium pay though for that?

Money is the same they matched everything I make now. One on call weekend every six weeks one weekday a week other than that. I have been on call 24/7 for about two years now ready for a break.
