I actually played this cut in class for one of my instructors (who happened to be Jewish ) years ago and he told me that there was some legitimacy to what KRS claimed in it. Didn't know much about the subject, so of course took a look at the video Kyrie linked to, read a bit of it and it's mostly the dudes story about working hard and getting educated with some odd stuff about Jesus not being white, which is obvious given the adaptations humans in that area of the world had made to adapt to the climate. Can see why politicians wouldn't like it because it argues that education has been ignored in the inner cities.

It is also quite odd that when you watch interviews with the author on YouTube that he rarely looks into the camera and seems to be distracted, but he is right, the whole thing has been a tremendous success in marketing his books/videos as the streaming sites are getting overwhelmed, so the efforts to not mention what Kyrie was talking about failed spectacularly, it kind of seems like a bit of a work actually.

There seems to be two diverse ideas on how to fix the issues discussed. You can point to inequity and yell at those you think are responsible in hopes that they will take pity upon you or feel shamed enough to throw money at the problem. We see that and how's that working? The capital raised all goes to politicians and administrators with very little actual success.

There is also the Deion Sanders approach at HBCU's where you identify areas where you can collaborate, accumulate capital, and then use those resources to invest in the problems yourself.
