Getting my first colonoscopy tomorrow morning. Starting the prep right now. This stuff doesn't taste too bad at all.

Only advice I can give you is the following, stay close to the bathroom and don’t trust a fart.

I thought I would be going more than I am. It is getting clearer though, so that's good.

Did you do the gallon of water thing with the mix or the duralax with Gatorade thing?

The mix. I drank half between 6:00-8:00pm and I'm supposed to drink the other half between 1:30-3:30am.

I think the mix really makes it's presence known late.

The prep stuff they use today really is better than it was 15 years ago.

Recently scheduled one for late September. I have to go every 3 years due to my family history. Last time they found 3 pre cancerous polyps so a bit nervous to see what happens this time.

You and I are on the same schedule, for some the same reasons.

I had this polyps the first time at 42 or so. After similar schedule I am back to longer intervals as it stayed clean. Always good to know.

The prep was way easier than I thought. It never really kicked in like I thought it would. Yeah, I went to the bathroom a decent amount, but not a ton like like some people say they do. It was nice and clear this morning which the nurse told me is all they care about. I did make sure I didn't eat much on Wednesday, and then of course the liquid diet on Thursday.

He found one small 6mm polyp that he said he removed and isn't very concerned about (but will test it anyway). He also found some diverticulitis so I need to eat more fiber. I go back for another in 5 years.

Overall it was a pretty easy experience. If you are at all hesitant to get one, don't be. Just do it.

Oh, and I had no idea the colon is actually the large intestine. I thought it was an organ attached to the large intestine.

Got one a few months back when I hit 50 and it was easy. Eat a bunch of jello, chug a bottle of not very good liquid (squeeze in a bunch of flavor drops) at 5PM and 1AM and a few minutes later shit like a hot tub jet for an hour and maybe one more time after that, go to the hospital, take a nap, and be out in a few hours. 3 less than 10mm polyps that weren’t an issue and come back in 7 years.
