In early 1990s a mail order bride worked for me from Asian Pacific area. Didn't know it for about 4 months. She was a hard worker and easy to work with. She finally became chatty with her worker friends. Turned out her dude was ex navy and lazy. She was making like 4.30/hr to pay the bills while he sat at home. The worker friends helped her understand she was being taken advantage of I guess. She was mad at that guy and her situation. She stopped coming to work one day. Never did hear what happened.

yes. we had a neighbor down the street that one day had a wife. i found out she was a phillipino mail order bride. she was with him for 2 months and then literally ran away. left him a note and He never found her. at least the 3 more years we lived there. he spent like 3,000 bucks for her and also had to fly over to get her.
