Plans changed slightly and we are going this afternoon to meet a few dogs through a different organization and see if any are a fit for our family. I thought that it would take me longer before we looked again but there is a bond missing for me and something I would like to develop with a new dog. We were considering a younger dog but changed our minds for a few reasons and the dogs we will look at today were relinquished and are older ( 5 or 6 ). I feel like we would be a good home to help an animal enjoy their last 3-4 years of life in a loving environment allowing us not to have to make an 8-10 year commitment. We will see what happens, as I take the decision very seriously. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dog and happy that you were able to find the next one and is working out very well. My older son has been named first alto sax for the regional jazz band in his age group. He beat out a bunch of really good, older players for the spot and has some major solos coming during their concert. He has gotten incredibly good on his instrument. I'm very proud.

AAU can be an incredible waste of time if you get on the wrong team.
