Also the first time I was aware of the rampant BMW product placement when Bond just happens to get a BMW motorcycle in a southeastern Asian favela.

Dude, Vodka neat is very solid. There's a reason Roger Sterling was a fan. Only the best for the best.

I kid. Drink whatever floats your boat. I love whiskey more than all other spirits combined.

Ever get the chance try a barrel aged rum, say a Flora de Cana 12 year. It’s not bourbon but it’s pretty good.

I can do vodka rocks or near but if it’s neat it better have been in a freezer. I don’t like warm vodka.

Correct.

Most people think he wanted to start WW3, which he did, but only in service to sell more newspapers to China.

Fair.

I could count on one hand the number of times I've drank vodka as an adult (and not as some college kid guzzling whatever is put in front of me).

I think a lot of it is what you get used to. Whiskey (bourbon in particular) just has a taste that hits me and puts me in my safe space. But it's what I've always drunk, so it's probably a learned reaction.

I wonder if he had a New Media division, because dude seemed pretty focused on a dying medium.

Costco out by me is selling a double-cask handle of Macallan for $120. I will buy it if you promise to drink it with me.

I go whiskey about 83% of the time. Probably evenly distributed between bourbon, rye and Irish for 90% of consumption and Scotch and random whisky like Japanese or Whatever. But variety is spice of life too. I was a Vodka or Tequila when I was a younger man. Rarely touch tequila these days.

For sure.

I could drink a gallon of the brown stuff, but the mere thought of tequila anymore makes me want to hurl.

And back in the day, Tequila was the pre-game superstar.

Smirnoff was Bonds first vodka. Had it from Dr No through Live And Let Die

Cripes I was wrong about this. What a terrible showing. The smoke wasn't that bad.

This may end up being one of the biggest days in CFB this year.
And it's a Friday.
There were 2 total games on the schedule.

TND was another level, though: The Sony Ericsson mobile phone used to drive the remote-controlled BMW car away from the bad guys and jump across the street directly into the storefront of an Avis car rental service. I'm sure they looked for sponsors for Gunther's torture tools...Craftsman, maybe?

Drank it in Tomorrow Never Dies too.

Almost an exact recreation of the Dr. No scene.

The Bond franchise invented product placement.

Hell, my only hole-in-one was with a Slazenger, the same ball used in Goldfinger.

I've always wanted to follow the reference in Dr. No and get "fitted on Saville Row"

The odd thing is that I don't particularly care for the English cut of jackets, but I have to have a proper fitting suit from great tailors.

Not to mention custom shoes, time be damned.

But I will admit to buying Ericsson products because...Bond

So, you were the one guy.

Bond is also why I bought a remote-control car. And Hasselhoff.

I hated the movie for the Roger Moore-esque, Moonraker-esque train wreck it became, but I still absolutely love the scene in Die Another Day where Bond walks dripping wet and with disheveled hair, practically straight out of a North Korean prisoner camp, through the lobby of a 5-star hotel, right up to the concierge to request his suite and personal tailor [smash cut to him using a Norelco razor].

A pair of Adidas my eldest got me, but that's about it. I'd store them in a cedar closet, if I had one.

That movie was a train wreck.

I always chuckle to see Michael Madsen’s one scene setting up the Halle Berry Bond US spinoff that never happened because the movie was so bad it killed the spinoff and almost killed Bond as well.
