Had some Cinnamon Whiskey with egg nog on Black Wednesday. It was goddam tasty. Way better than straight whiskey or bourbon mixed with nog.

Old Fashioned for me and Godiva white chocolate, peppermint vodka martinis for the lady as we decorate the Christmas tree.

Enjoying a Tito's and realizing that I'm old as I watch PBS's "My Music". I remember when I worked there they'd do this and play stuff from malt shops in the '50s and I'd chuckle at the old people that got all excited about it and would call in and donate.

Now it's music videos from the '80s with Martha Quinn and Jack Wagner and I'm watching it. Born in the USA is probably the worst attempt at a lip sync in history. I don't even think they were trying because it was all so new that nobody cared. I don't like being the old PBS guy.

Drinky Board is a nice respite from the racism going down in some of these other threads.

Enjoy being the old guy.

Want me to add some casual racism just to lighten the mood?

Very limited evening with a little bit of tequila and Squirt while watching Cream's final concert. Until I get tired of Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker trying to out volume everyone else

God, I hate the "Video Killed the Radio Star" video.

MTV should have been shut down right there.

REO Speedwagon used to play weddings at Pitstick's Pavilion in Ottawa.

Your story is better.

I did like REO, though.

My high-school girlfriend was one of the women in our high school talent show doing the "Addicted to Love" video.

I never liked this song. Not for that reason.

Weird to see a Pat Benatar video for "Hit me with your best shot" and watching her offer up her chin.

Different times indeed.

And who didn't love Martha Quinn?

I never liked that look. It's scary.

It's like a Robot Women From Earth movie.

Everybody had their wedding reception there.

I remember a kid diving off the high dive into the lake and hitting the bottom head first and breaking his neck. I don't remember if he died or was paralyzed.

That was some nasty water.

Yeah, that could be what it was. I just remember the pond had legends behind it involving the dead kid grabbing you Jason Vorhees style.

Classic Jarles. The Bandit is having a party upstairs.

I'm finishing up watching Tiger play his last 3 holes that I recorded earlier and then going to move on to ILL/NU.

If Purdue screwing up a commanding lead messes up my TV Illinois schedule tonight, I will hold BRick and Spaulding responsible.
