Caipirinhas with grapefruit instead of limes. Round three will be followed by glorious sleep I predict.

After a long day working in the wind I came home and had a double gin and tonic. It was followed by a nap. Guess it’s time for dinner.

I'm not a guy to start a lot of threads, so I'll put this here.

This place has gotten pretty weird.

Henriot. No rocks. No fruit.

Is Tequila and Squirt common? I'm not a big Tequila fan.

So just normal squirt or ruby red? Silver tequila or aged? At one t8me I was a big squirt fan. At one time I was a big tequila guy. I’ve not mixed the two.

It's common with our Mexican brethren. If I get it in certain neighborhoods I get surprised, but knowing smiles.

Regular squirt and any decent entry-level tequila. It's a basic drink mixed with pop, only morons and posuers mix the good stuff.

I can't drink tequila straight anymore I get the worst hangovers no matter how good the tequila or mezcal is. I can do shots of whiskey all night though.

Was thinking more like cheap gold vs cheap silver. I’m not sure how they get gold tequila gold, always figured it was slightly aged but never cared to find out. Sipping tequila is sipping tequila. Different ball game.

I have a bottle of Roca Oatrin in Anejo and Reposado. One was a gift. I like them enough but I’m not a usual sipping tequila guy. If I wanted to try the Paloma I’d have to buy a cheap one or use these as I think that’s a hole in the bar right now.

If I heard it correctly "well" quality gold tequila and run differs only from lightly caramelized sugar being added

Makes sense. I remember, years ago being talked into buying Cuervo gold because it was “better”. It wasn’t. Not that silver was anything special either.

I buy some silver rum for the occasional mojito on beach vacations but that’s the only mixed rum drink I ever make. And even that’s rare. Never have mint.
