3.5 out here when it was all said and done to go with the three we had earlier in the week. Sometimes it’s good to live on a slight hill.

That's not what you said when that shot bounced off a sprinkler head, and into the woods.

It was one of the worst beats I have ever seen. He was playing very well through five holes. #6 is a par 5 that was playing into a stiff wind, so you needed three shots to reach the green. His tee shot finds the left side of the fairway. His second shot was a beautiful 3-wood that landed in the fairway, but right on top of a sprinkler head. The ball shot thirty feet into the air, over the creek and out of bounds.

Basement flooded twice in the past two years. We finally ripped out the carpet and are putting vinyl tile in. Sump pump is still going off about every minute or so after the storms this weekend, but fortunately the rest of the basement was dry.

Ireland getting fucking wrecked.

Sucks for Ireland and Scotland, but pretty impressive for a hurricane to get that far. Has a high motor and tons of TWTW, The Will to Wind.

Fairly moderate snow here in the Melrose Park area. Maybe 1/4" on some of the grassy surfaces.

I pray to the giant pile of salt that we will be saved today.

It’s cold but we were spared snow out here. I suppose that’s a good thing although I always like the first few snows.

Solid dusting just over the border in Wisconsin. I work about a mile from the lake so we are probably getting more than out in the county.
No real accumulation yet.

There is enough accumulation downtown to make snowballs

Some guy down the street apparently hydroplaned into a brick mailbox. The mailbox didn't make it... the jury is still out on the car.

It keeps spitting the mail back out at you until you finally give up and move on.

That really wouldn't qualify as a storm though, Einstein.

Thunderstorms are expected, and a high wind warning takes effect this afternoon.

The forecast said rain early this morning, and again in the evening. It was raining when I woke up, and there is more on the way.
