As far as tags go, "whatever you drive, drive a Firestone" has to be on the short list for most awful. It makes no fucking sense.

I think it was brainstormed in a meeting as 'whatever you drive, drive on Firestone' but someone recorded it wrong and they were like "TOO LATE NOW!"

Except they're trying to sell not just their tires, but their full-service garages as well. They're trying to get you to equate "Firestone" with "car repair". Driving "on a Firestone" keeps the brand centered on just tires.

I agree that the line they ultimately went with doesn't accomplish the campaign's overall goal very well.

Yeah, Id say that was a pretty poor effort then.
