"Artisanal" is the culinary equivalent of exit velocity.

What? No, not in that way at all. In the way that the Golden State Warriors are superior.

Dunkin is better than some Starbucks flavors, but not all.

If you need flavored coffee, you're doing it wrong.

Dunkin is the best restuarant coffee out there.

Dunkin is the best, but I do really like the Pike Place roast from Starbucks.

This. Timer set for 5:30, it grinds whole beans (we buy whole bean from costco) and then brews. Great coffee for about 21 cents a cup.

I've come around on coffee later in life, when I started drinking "flat whites" when I was in Australia about 9 years ago.

I eventually figured out that I could dramatically reduce the dairy content if I got iced espresso, which only needs about a teaspoon of dairy and some sweetener (I prefer sugar free vanilla syrup). If it's a good coffee (e.g. better than basic Starbucks, something like Asado downtown or Ten Drops out in Plainfield), I'll omit the sweetener.

In the summer, I'll sometimes get cold brew instead. Nitro cold brew Vietnamese style is outstanding (Blue Bottle in SF).

But mostly, I go to Starbucks to take a break. On days when I'm in the office, I try to go across the street to Starbucks for a half hour at about 2:30. I picked this up after remembering my time with some Swedish clients about 20 years ago where everything would just stop for 20 minutes twice a day for coffee and a small cookie.

Dairy is very healthy. Highly nutritious, satiates hunger, no sugar. Nature's perfect food.

The columbian coffee that comes in the grey bag at Costco is pretty good, too.

No sandals, ever. I don't want to see my own feet, much less force others to do so.

Used to golf poorly until I hurt my shoulder about six years ago. Gave up paying $55 to feel badly about myself for three hours. I do miss it early on Saturday mornings, though.

When I say flavors, I mean varieties, which ironically enough, have different flavors. You realize that Starbucks has multiple varieties of coffee, right?

Geez, of all the places to go nuts (yarrrr) over, this wouldn't be on my list. I'd be innerested in going there at least once.

That's a pretty sweet machine, if it grinds the beans, as well.

We recently purchased a Costco membership. On our first visit, they had a bag of Columbian blend, which we loved. It wasn't there on my second visit, so I bought some Kirkland medium roast. It's okay.

Why do I keep reading this and thinking that it's Laurence Holmes and 4 Breaking News Stories from Bears Camp 2004?
