At least they are consistent with rugs on carpeting in the basement. If only the island off glass dropped into the basement you would have something.

I thought that was going to be an orthodox jewish subdivision with a big gate to keep the goy out

Yeah. There may be some Orthodox Jews in there. I'm not sure. I don't think it's gated though. I believe they created a new street. There's an Orthodox enclave right behind it that is "enclosed" by an eruv.
