This is a hypothetical that came up over the weekend. You get invited for a meet & greet at The White House. Trump is President. Do you go or not?

I said I would. I don't like him and cannot ever see a situation where I would vote for the man, but I do respect the office of President and I think it would be an awesome thing to go to the White House and shake the President's hand.

I'd definitely go to the White House if invited. I probably wouldn't meet him in Schaumburg though.

Sure I'd go. I'd have a couple of well prepared talking points too.

I'd go for sure, he's a dipshit but he's pretty damn funny and very wealthy.. I think I could probably talk him into a few changes.

Doesn't Trump's victory retire the idea that "the office" in and of itself deserves respect? A fat old man who likes to watch TV ran for the office and won because he made fun of everyone. It's clearly not a lifetime achievement award for a career of public service.

I honestly think it's healthy for citizens of this country to realize that no public office is really worthy of real respect.

Americans want monarchy as long as it's a good monarch, like Obama.

Of course. I stood outside in the winter to be entertained and possibly beaten.

Well we are the country that overthrew a monarch only to construct a system that has grown even more abusive than the one we overthrew.

I didn't get to meet him, but when he came to speak where I work earlier this year, there was no question I was going to try to see
him speak. Not only that, but all the pomp and circumstance that came along with it, like him coming in on Marine One and getting
escorted by a couple of Osprey was all worth the waiting in line and going through security to see.

If he invited me to a 1 on 1 meeting at Chili's in Schaumburg, I'd go.

Looks like Bill got a rise out of Melania there. A whole new facial expression and all.

But to answer the main question. No.

What was the hypothetical? Judges' Citation Award for best stock boy at the LightFair 2018 expo?
