This is a hypothetical that came up over the weekend. You get invited for a meet & greet at The White House. Trump is President. Do you go or not?

I said I would. I don't like him and cannot ever see a situation where I would vote for the man, but I do respect the office of President and I think it would be an awesome thing to go to the White House and shake the President's hand.

Doesn't Trump's victory retire the idea that "the office" in and of itself deserves respect? A fat old man who likes to watch TV ran for the office and won because he made fun of everyone. It's clearly not a lifetime achievement award for a career of public service.
