class action lawsuit against menards and home depot for selling '2x4's' and '4x4s' that are actually a half inch smaller than suggested

http://www.jsonline.com/story/money/bus ... 405300001/

it has been this way for like 75 years

everyone knows this

fuckin people i swear to god. I mean, if they would just sue to 'have the labeling reflect actual dimensions' i would understand more... but no, they are going after money. you got to be fucking kidding me.

Quote:
The cases name three plaintiffs — two against Menards and one against Home Depot.

The Menards plaintiffs bought their lumber at stores in Gurnee and Fox Lake, Ill., in November. The Home Depot plaintiff bought his lumber at a store in Palatine, Ill., in December.

As Turin described it, all three men wanted the lumber for home-improvement projects, got home and measured the pieces, felt they had been deceived and then turned to the law firm.

just shoot them. fuck these idiot kids who watch a youtube video and then think they can build a house. god damn idiots.

just think about it. you let these snot nosed assholes win. ok, so now what? besides the money, what should happen? we can't change the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 boards to 4x4... or the 1 1/2 by 3 1/2 to 2x4's in size... that wouldn't work because literally everything else is designed to fit according to the smaller size. door jams, windows, moulding, nails, fucking everything. Ok, so we cant feasibly change the dimensions... so now we must stop calling them 2x4's? We have to go to the store and say "where are your one and a halfs by three and a halfs?" this is so fucking stupid. theres people literally getting off from rape charges and murder and shit and this is what were worried about... fuckin idiots who shouldn't be anywhere near a hammer.

Ridiculous. This should be one of those moments that you go "Huh, I did not know that" and move on with life with new knowledge.

This is probably the same group suing Burger King because their hamburgers were never officially named the ruler of a sovereign land.

Just wait until Samsung and Vizio get sued when they discover their 50" screen measures 49.5" diagonal.
