I didn't get the total here. More like 7/8ths. Looked to me like there was plenty of daylight still was sort of tinted though. Anyway looked through the glasses, cool. Done.

The clouds parted enough in Mt. Prospect to be able to see it around 1:35 or so (with the appropriate eyewear). Pretty cool!

Didn't get as dark as I thought it would. I did learn something this morning about how dark it gets. In my feeble mind, I was equating the % of totality with how dark it would be. 85% totality is only 15% of normal daylight...... Doesn't actually work that way. Apparently at 50-60% totality, it doesn't get darker at all.

Overall, the 2 minutes my office went outside to stare at a muffled sun through the clouds was quite underwhelming.
