Is he cutting Zeke Elliott, Dez Bryant, or Dak Prescott if they kneel? I think we all know the answer to that.

You are a longtime talk radio guy. How many of our favorites over the years have bashed their co workers, bosses and competition without reprisal only to be taken down when they damage a sponsor relationship? That is the golden rule: you can fuck with the boss but don't fuck with Bud.

Bingo.

Matt Spiegel could go on air today and rip Dan Bernstein to shreds with no repercussions. However, if he rips Budweiser for sponsoring the tavern tour (do they still do that?) he is gone.

Whether you agree with anything else, what Jamele did was dumb for someone that gets a big paycheck because of the sponsors she was mentioning.

What she did was stupid, if she wants to continue working on television. That said, I haven't heard anybody call out Jones for such a ridiculous statement. No chance he cuts any of those guys.

I had a DB of the WEEK all written but decided against it.

Not for the rule or lying but for being Trump's bitch. Trump reversed that relationship REAL quick.

Jones is like Trump for me, I have hated everything that both of them have done for so many decades that I would be a lunatic if I stopped and complained about each one.

I have had a perpetual I Hate Jerry Jones bubble floating above my head since he fired Tom Landry.

Correct me if I am wrong but Jones never said cut. He said bench. I could see him sitting people for a quarter or so.

Okay. You are wrong.

https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas ... lowed-play

"I don't know about that. But if there is anything that is disrespectful to the flag then we will not play," Jones said after the Cowboys' 35-31 loss. "You understand? If we are disrespecting the flag then we won't play. Period.

"We're going to respect the flag, and I'm going to create the perception of it. And we have."

i think jones specifically said "play" to indicate that he wouldn't cut anyone, because he knows that would be bad for business--and that's the most important thing to him.

he is full of shit, but i agree that these guys should kneel now *just* to see what he does.

and that would throw the "kneeling" fiasco in an even deeper wormhole. it's already completely muddled in its message, and as it stretches into the far reaches of the galaxy of grandstanding...it'll just keep getting more ridiculous until it's outright either banned or discontinued voluntarily.

Didn't Dr. Jerry kneel with the whole damn team 2 weeks ago? He won't hold himself to those comments going forward but he will hide under the ambiguity of what constitutes "disrespecting" the flag in his mind.

If you only got your news and commentary from Twitter, you would think that ESPN suspended Jemele Hill because the White House made them do it.

Seriously the blue checkmarks are in a world of their own and detached from the realities of media companies. No wonder most of them are freelancers and not gainfully employed.

Why is nobody talking about the fact that Hill SPECIFICALLY SAID SHE'S NOT CALLING FOR A BOYCOTT [of the NFL]?!

Image

Except....

Image

She very clearly got suspended for telling her followers to boycott sponsors of an NFL team. Julie and her ilk want to pretend as though she tried to organize a boycott of NFL teams.

Death, taxes, and Julie DiCaro saying "SHOW ME EXACTLY WHERE I SAID . . .," huh. If you say "you can boycott their advertisers" and share a helpful list, what does she think that is? What an idiot.

That's why I think someone should come up with a list of ESPN/Cowboy advertisers who also buy time on CBS Radio. I bet Julie would be foolish enough to tweet it out

How did she complete law school? I've always been fairly impressed by people who went to law school, thinking you had to be pretty damn smart to earn a law degree, but she really seems like a simpleton.

Jerry was kneeling and locking arms until he saw it was cutting into his profits.

I think were kneeling before the anthem and standing for it. I might be wrong, but are the Cowboys the most profitable Football team in the NFL?

Of course, it is plainly obvious to everyone (1) what Hill was saying and (2) why she was suspended.

But for some completely unknown, completely indiscernible reason, Julie has to find a way to absolve Hill of any culpability in her own punishment. Again, no idea why that might be the case.

May have been Kaepernick's plan as well.
