I apologize if you've already covered this but why didn't you eat steak? I know many who don't eat pork for religious reasons and beef for religious or health reasons - but not both. Do you eat hamburgers?

We had company the other day. Two 35ish year old people and they had never had steak beyond chicken fried. I was stunned. Then I realized they really probably couldn't afford it. She was a kid of missionaries and they had been missionaries for the first 10 years of their marriage.

Well when you have a woman telling you you'll probably like it "this way" you keep trying. I wanted to like steak. I can at least say I had one now.

Go to Jewel, get a nice grass fed cut of your pjck, mine is MY strip. Cook it over a charcoal heat. I usually only season it with a little salt, pepper and mined garlic. Cook to a nice med. Serve with some asparagus and a juice baked potato. You will thank me.

Whoa, sound them out, Aqualung.

Young Nas was fascinated by a lot of afro-centric stuff. After vomiting while working at McDonald's a 16 year old Nas decided he would stop eating beef and pork like all the books told me I should. I survived the holidays that year and it was easy from there. I haven't vomited in 15 years and I haven't vomited because of food since then.

I ate burgers but they were chicken or turkey or veggie. I missed ribs but they've come up with enough turkey creations since then. Swordfish and salmon became my steak. Morton's used to sell swordfish but Hugo's ended up being one of the last places where you can get a good one. Select Cut Steak House is hit or miss.

I would have thought the chicken nuggets would have put you off that meat as well.

Yeah I wouldn't eat that crap. I don't think McDonald's had that back then. I was an Arch Burger and Quarter pounder guy.

wait, so you're blaming all your mcdonald's woes on the McAfrika? that's a little unfair!

btw, 2nded on the Arch Deluxe. that sandwich deserved to be a mainstay. bad marketing.

Guessing some head rolled in the marketing department...
Mickey D's spent more money on the Arch Deluxe advertising campaign than it had on any other -- $100 million -- making the sandwich a pricey mistake

It was the best sandwich. If you were in Ford City mall from fall of 1998 until the spring of 99' I probably made you one. No one made them better than me. My burgers were tremendous.

Yep. Almost as bad as Dr. Pepper 10 saying it wasn't for women. Good idea to cut out more than half the market.

I was a fan of the Arch Deluxe but I believe I was in an Arby's phase when it was out. I don't remember it lasting very long, but maybe the cancelled it out in Montana earlier. I'm not sure I ever ate McDonalds out there though...
