BuzzFeed is usually shit but they appear have done the work on this one.

https://www.buzzfeed.com/josephbernstei ... ationalism

Lot goin' on here but whoa:

Quote:
In an April 6 email, Allum Bokhari mentioned having had access to an account of Yiannopoulos’s with “a password that began with the word Kristall.” Kristallnacht, an infamous 1938 riot against German Jews carried out by the SA — the paramilitary organization that helped Hitler rise to power — is sometimes considered the beginning of the Holocaust. In a June 2016 email to an assistant, Yiannopoulos shared the password to his email, which began “LongKnives1290.” The Night of the Long Knives was the Nazi purge of the leadership of the SA. The purge famously included Ernst Röhm, the SA’s gay leader. 1290 is the year King Edward I expelled the Jews from England.

None of this is shocking in the least.

I honestly have never understood what people see in Milo. He's all around awful.

Milo couldn't define the Alt-Right? What a burrito.

The Alt-Right... an ideology where reasonable Conservatism is mixed with a concoction of paranoia, delusion, and race warfare, creating a distinct version of psychopathology that is recognizable by its disciples' obsession with automatic weapons, misquotes from Thomas Paine, and a general disdain for books or facts.

If you can bear it, try to read up on RationalWiki's breakdown of the entire neoreactionary movement. It explains a lot of this Silicon Valley/Nazi/gamer crossover that on its face makes little sense.

Neoliberals again blaming anyone but themselves for this. "I-i-its Breitbart! And Milo! They made people Nazi's". Nah, it was the left. When it became part and parcel of the Democratic Party's platform to villainize men and white people they invited the inverse opinion into the fray. And when the left excused rioting and terror attacks by BLM and gave blanket amnesty to Islam for weekly attacks in Europe it raised the stakes even higher.

I am not certain of all of that but there clearly has to be some sort of ying/yang function for the current climate. Which way made what happen? Another thing I wonder is who made Milo? I honestly had zero idea who he really was before late last year except a guy with a silly sounding Greek like last name. Normal sane people would also not know who he was if there weren't riots when he tries to speak somewhere I would think.

So the Alt-Right is void of blame for "making people nazis"?

don't you know that the left is *always* to blame for anything that goes wrong? that's been the rhetoric since like the late 90's. milo is just a spawn of the ann coulter era of polemicist political ideology. it has nothing to do with values. it just has to do with tearing the other side down.

The left needs to be torn down. The Republicans do not embrace the neo-Nazi extremes of their own side. Even Trump doesn't, despite what the media is desperate to make us believe.

On the other hand Democrats can't wait to extol the virtues of ANTIFA and especially BLM. They also adore Islam, a far more violent ideology than fascism and one with exponentially more followers that poses and imminent threat to western civilization. Note how I specifically wrote Democrats, not "neoliberals" or even "liberals". I am specifically referring to the mainstream Democratic party. You would never see a Republican dare wear a Nazi armband, but on the other side

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.washing ... itll-stay/

So yeah. If it means getting a little too close for comfort to the far right so be it, the left has to be dismantled. It is the great struggle of our time.

Agree with Pittmike that it's a yin and yang situation. On its face, the left did not create the neo-Nazis or the Alt right. However, when the Force sways too far one way, misfits from the other side come out of the wood work. Europe is proof of that. A lot of European countries are leaning more towards socialism and flooding their countries with refugees and immigrants to the point where their own culture is being washed away. To counteract that, you have more nationalists coming out and with them, some awful neo-Nazi types.

Blaming the left for Nazis is just dumb. Many Republicans have been making it "ok" to have certain ideas and the Nazis have just taken it to another level.

This is the primary reason for the rise of Alt right ideology in America in my opinion.

Look, if you want to absolve the left for indirectly helping the far right fine. I can buy the other side of the argument.

But, you can't absolve the left for directly nurturing and welcoming Islam into the western world. A far worse ideology than even Nazism. If you really gave a shit about keeping destructive ideas that threaten our way of life and cause grief to millions you'd have disowned the left a long time ago because of their Muslim infatuation.

So yeah, so what if the left maybe did/maybe didn't lead to a more visible American Nazi movement. They've imported millions of people that believe in something much worse than fascism into almost the entire western world. For that they can't be forgiven.

True but there is bound to be blow back and it comes in many forms. It does not have to be Nazis that are the only ones pushing back to what they experience. Basically, since not long after 9/11 it is really fashionable and acceptable to label all Republicans mouth breathing, Fox News watching, white male, racist, teabagger Nazis. If you and others really think that is the case I apologize.

Welcoming Islam into the Western world? History doesn't support this theory.

Implementation of the Southern Strategy which most on here conveniently ignore, occurred well before 9/11.

That is a point for discussing the party. I was referring to the treatment or attitudes toward conservative individual people. And then how attitudes push back against that.

White people are racist. They were/are sneakier at practicing. Now being flamboyant about it is becoming fashionable again.

Yea whatever. Go on about "your history" to make some insipid point about Islam that isn't really relevant or informing. However you want to defend the indefensible, bud. Right now somewhere in the world a child is being raped by a Muslim, someone is being directly murdered because of Islam in more than a handful of Muslim-dominated countries that are perfect case studies to prove that religion is incompatible with even the barest minimum of human decency.

You would never indulge Holocaust denial from a neo-Nazi, I'm not going to indulge Islamophilia from some basic ass internet liberal. Keep your history to yourself.

You are doing your pittmike thing again.

Becoming a Nazi is not a valid response to anything the left has done. I try and avoid judging your seemingly constant defenses of Trump to be "fair" but when you are also doing it for Nazis it is hard to look past it.

The morning that hilllary tweeted out BLM last year changed the course of history.
