Looks like John Kasich is making a move. A move that might give Trump 4 more years!

https://www.aol.com/article/news/2017/0 ... /23185640/

Ohio Governor John Kasich, a Republican, and John Hickenlooper, the Democratic governor of Colorado, are said to be “gaining momentum toward a possible joint independent bid for president in 2020,” according to Axios.

I like Kasich a lot and I don't see 1 Democratic candidate that I want to vote for right now. I've never voted for a republican in a presidential general election but I would vote for Kasich based on what I know now.

Yeah. Booker and Warren are more of the same that drove people to Trump in the first place. I'll be curious to see who the Libertarians tap this time around. Can't go with Johnson again.

It's going to be Elizabeth Warren and should be, but to say she drove people to Donald Trump is stupid.

The ones I liked, but not might be ready:

Corey Booker
Gavin Newsom
Castro brothers from Texas

I think Newsom might be the more realistic possibility.

Cory Booker is out -- or rather, he isn't, which is the problem. We've had FDR and LBJ but America's not ready for DLB.

Gavin Newsom is the lovechild of Patrick Bateman and Rahm Emanuel. Pass.

Kasich is trash. It's nice to see the idiot neolibs will have a backup plan in place if the left gets too much influence in the Democratic party though. Bloomberg is getting up there in age.

Bill Maher was trying his best to pump up Harold Ford, Jr. I don't know enough about him. I did like his appearance on the show.

Let me lay a little reality on people though:

Only one incumbent president has lost an election in the 37 years. That one person who did lose had already been in the white house for 12 years.

Yeah.....Ford looks like a career politician. I'll pass.

I am hoping Newsom becomes Gov of California, and does something to put himself in the nation spotlight(positive light).

I don't understand this attitude, particularly after having to choose between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Every candidate is going to have weird views on at least a couple things. Kasich is a sane person, and I highly doubt his views on those two issues would make a bit of difference with his governing.

I actually like Kasich. He's been an executive before, and he's nerdy enough that he doesn't get mired down into the worst parts of politics. He's like a more practical Ron Paul.

The Repubs take a lot of shots at him for what he did with Medicaid in Ohio. God forbid he do what's best for his state rather than play politics.

I don't think Trump will make it through this term, so it'll be Mike Piss against Warren, Tulsi, Michelle, Beyonce, or Oprah.

Maher is just pumping tires for Harold Ford because he thinks Americans are dumb enough to vote for Imitation Obama.

Why does Gavin Newsom get everyone's dicks so hard?

What I like about Kasich is that he seems to be a progressive.

Kasich seemed reasonable because he was standing next to a narcissistic boor with probable dementia, a religious zealot, and an empty-headed rentboy. He's a standard-issue conservative with plenty of troubling ideas. If he runs as a Democrat, this country's going somewhere shitty fast.

Right now? Bernie Sanders. In 2020, Elizabeth Warren.

I would agree with probably every statement there except the prohibition of medical marijuana.

I guess I underestimate how important that issue is to some. I think marijuana should be 100% legal, but it's not an issue I really care that much about.

Kamala Harris is the frontrunner. Not only is it misogynist to criticize how close she is to banks like it was with Hillary, but it's also racist as well.

Im joking, that wouldn't stop me from voting for him. I support legalization but can live without it.

I think the 50% thing is pretty nuts. Doesn't every human hear Dont Do Drugs at some point?

And I'm not sure about the mixed messages thing. Alcohol is a drug and is legal. A good portion of drug abuse is of the legal variety.
