How do you see the situation playing out?

I'm curious to hear what those on the board think about likely outcomes/solutions.

I think they'll ultimately beat us and we'll all live under North Korean rule.

North Korea is the second largest threat to international stability, next to Israel.

China will intervene. China wants them in power but not acting up too much. If China feels a North Korean threat is imminent, they will do something to keep them in check.

Impossible to predict with two dip shits at the helm, hopefully the economic sanctions get the job done and Trump n KJU are reasoned with.

I read something that said 90% of us will be dead within a year after they are done.

It would seem North Korea is not interested in diplomacy.

Considering the US's long standing red-line (through multiple administrations) is that North Korea cannot develop a functioning ICBM which can deliver a warhead on the US, something is going to give.

That was the worst case scenario for an EMP. If an EMP went off, most of the US power grid would be off-line until we rebuilt distribution from the ground up. (power plants would function and generate electricity, but have no means to deliver it to cities)

such comforting thoughts with that one...

Even with Trumpito looking for a diversion every other day, I have to have faith that the generals running the adult day care center to keep this the nothing burger it really should be.

I mean really, many there are boiling up bone & cabbage soup in their caves in North Korea

The only thing I know for certain is that nobody has any clue what the fuck they are talking about when it comes to North Korea.

That's true of foreign policy in general, myself included.

It's a stalemate, unless you want Mutually Assured Destruction on both sides.

I don't think Kim Jong Il hates the U.S, but Trump is doing the worst thing by dissing him. He should continue to use Rodman diplomacy to find what out what Kim wants.
Kim is a big basketball fan, and especially a fan of Jordan and the legendary Bulls teams.

Give him a signed pair of Air Jordan's by Michael. Appeasement is better than nuclear war.
