Good call.

Had six of his rookie cards--were worth a quarter-dollar each! Then he sucks up the joint and my investment went south.

Was gonna counter with Kerry Wood, but he had a post-rookie career worthy of Greg Hibbard, so I'm torn.

Walton and Smith both seemed like they fell off of a cliff but they both played for a decade.

Walton's 2nd years wasn't that much worse than his first. But, a dropoff for sure. Smith hit pretty well for a good chunk of the 90s.

Look at all of those tire tracks on the wrong side of the double yellow. Clearly a woman driving out in that snow.

BTW, looking at NFL rookies of the year. The defensive list is filled with guys who went on to great careers, the offensive list....not so much. Especially post 2000.

Although, there was an incredible run for OROY in the 90's

Bettis
Faulk
Martin
George
Dunn
Moss
James

Yeah, it sure seemed like they just sucked. It was probably because they didn't progress or maybe young squirrel had too much hope that the Cubs left and center field situation was set for a decade. Young Squirrel was very. very wrong.

I'd have to look at Rick Wilkens too.

edit: Never mind, his third year, first full year, was his monster HR year.
