Can anyone with any Chicago area construction knowledge ballpark if North was up or down on this deal.

Article says he paid $210,000 for the property, so what would it cost to build that house when he did back in the early 1990s?

I’d say he spent about 300k in construction, maybe less as that was before the boom

He originally listed it for 1 million. Getting 830k isn't bad. I predicted early in this thread that he'd only get 600k. So I was way off. Good for Pappy.

About 125$ s.f. to build that back then.

Huntley? Hmm...I wonder if he’s moving into the Del Webb community. Sun City will never know what hit them.

So maybe I'm wrong.

It states in the article that they bought a place in the Del Webb.

"We've done good with our investments."

Yeah that's why they need to move to where Christ left his shoes.

I just go a text about it. There might be some cool bar stuff but I doubt you are going to get it at estate sale prices. Mike will think the North brand increase value by 20%

After the endless hype from North about Pappyland and how many TVs he had, I giggled at the site of 6? TVs, all of which were tiny tube monitors that looked like he got them cheap from a bankrupt OTB parlor. And Lic must've hung all the pictures/memorabilia.

Of course Park Ridge. What a weird place that was in the '90s. White collar workers trying to live the suburban dream and organized crime shitheads of all stripes. Italians, Russians, Ukrainians, and a sprinkling of some truly demented assholes from the Balkans that came later. Most everyone I knew had an older brother or father who was into something, some in very major ways that had them in and out of prison.
