I like Leash a great deal. I wish him as well as Dennis would come back. Obviously, they are fed up with something here. Enough so to give up something they seemingly liked a lot.

Yep; drove him like Miss Daisy.

Another case of victory for the rich over the poor. Very unfair.

It is rather odd. He did seem to get a bit more agitated in the last few months but come on, it’s just a message board. Intense discussions can get a bit heated, but eventually most of us just move on. Even guys who don’t are still here and are willing to take (and apparently enjoy) the back and forth. Leash didn’t seem like a guy that would just walk away.

I have it on good authority that he'll be back sooner rather than later.

Real life sometimes must take precedence.

He’s not taking a break because of any board arguments or disputes.

I’d say good, but that doesn’t seem good. I miss him and wish him the best.

I think he sort of became anti-liberal. Not conservative, but he viewed some of the over the top liberalism as a broader more cohesive movement than it was. Generalization is a big theme on this board.

He got less liberal whatever way you slice it. When I first got here, he was all "I'm just a white guy from the sticks and now I live in the burbs, and you should know that us white guys got it so much easier." Then he became frustrated with identity politics (or the ready answers of liberalism or whatever you want to call those phenomena). This seems pretty common; I know it applied to me about ten years ago. Not a criticism, though.

That last blow-out was an unfortunate one, but if you go back and read it, there's a lot you can learn.

Most definitely. Despite his Cubs leanings and his avatar (which looks more like the Gay Nazi from Oz than HST), he is pretty cool.

Let's pretend I don't know what happened. Just as a thought experiment.

What was his last blowout? A political thread?

I thought he mentioned that he did disaster response for an insurance company? Might be in California. Or in Florida. My Mar O Lago guy tells me that Trump beached himself right there on Palm Beach.

Yeah. I can't even remember which thread. But when I went back and read it the other day, there was a lot of empathy to be had. I can't remember which one it was in...but like I said, despite the anger between people who obviously know each other well, you can really grow from reading it.

I have to be very careful how I say this. It should be very apparent to all of you what the isssue is.

Do you know Leash? Have you spoken to him recently? If the answer to both questions is no, why would you (not just you, the royal you) post something like this?
