Detroit Orlando Wisc Dells New Jersey Don't know the fifth. We went to St. Louis a few years ago. I thought it was a pretty good place for a weekend and want to go back. |

Philly/Camden, PA Bridgeport/New Haven/Waterbury, CT Kingman, AZ Shreveport, LA Gary, IN/Rockford, IL Stockton/LA/other Cali cities -- overrun with growing tent cities, despite glowing official economic data. i guess once you've been down and out long enough, you don't even register on the official economic indicators. |

DC is spectacular starting from the Mall and going Northwest along Connecticut, Wisconsin Avenues toward Maryland--the part of DC btw Rock Creek Park on the east to the river on the west. Travel southeast from the capitol along Pennsylvania Avenue toward the Acacostia River and beyond and it's not so nice. Not at all. |
