Congrats! You'll definitely enjoy it and spoil the hell out of her.

If I were starting from scratch, I'd honestly consider getting snipped before having to even consider the question.
But I'm not, and we have a daughter, and it's gonna start getting scary soon....

I would have loved to wait a decade but I couldn't imagine going through life without kids.

Congrats McDude.

And ignore most of what was said. It's all in fun and raising a girl is a special kind of parenting job.

There is a lot of fun. And a lot of worry. I’d say on balance it’s been well worth it.

Well she finally came after 40 hours of labor. Doctors didn't want to do c-section because baby looked so good and mother looked so good. But wife just stopped making progress. So c-section happened. She's so awesome. Exceeding anything I could have imagined.

Congratulations! Glad to hear that everything is going well.

Better save up for American Girl, if that's still a thing.

Thank god for grandmothers, I did not once have to goto that store. With my mom, my wife’s mom I was tasked with taking the boys to the Aaquarium with some kind brother in law’s who wanted to bond. Now, the escape through the gift store was painful but avoiding tea and makeovers of dolls was a win win. I think my daughter might have 4 or 5 of those dolls between the grandparents and pass downs from friends.

It's like the last time my sons went to Disney World. My parents asked if they could take them and I was overjoyed that I would never have to go there again.

Until I'm an aged fart dying to be a good grandpa.

Disney has mastered the gift shop on way out of ride. Wife’s dad was giving her a tough time about not bringing the kids back there again. Kids have zero to little interest but I imagine I have one more tip there in me. Until grand kids. I’ve come to the realization that I’m probable closer to being a grandparent than I’d like to think.

Don’t have kids yet, but have been a high school teacher and dean of students for years—100 % boys are easier. Girls have more challenges. Between “mean girls”, dudes like Kaner and Ray Rice, and a society that tells girls they need to look like Kate Upton it’s an uphill battle for even the most level headed girl. And when they actually fight girls go crazy, once the boys get separated they are usually laughing about it.
