Using today's date (1/31) as baseline, how would you interpret the following:

"How does next Friday sound to meet up?"

Is the person referring to this upcoming Friday (2/2), or the Friday of next week (2/9)?

In that context, I would assume the person is referring to 2/9.

If they had said this Friday, then it 2/2.
