The Who had enough material in 1967 to put out a damn near perfect double album for “The Who Sell Out”. The deluxe edition is a mandatory purchase - lots of outstanding tracks that didn’t make the cut:

Townsend was prolific as hell, you could put together a nice collection just from the transition period between The Who Sell Out and Tommy.
